How to join a TikTok LIVE agency: requirements for 2026

What is actually required, how long it takes, and the three questions that filter out almost every scam in this industry.

Joining a TikTok LIVE agency is simpler than most people think, and riskier than it looks. Simple because the real requirements are few. Risky because this industry is full of agencies that are not agencies, and beginners are the easiest target.

This guide covers both: what is genuinely required, and what you need to verify before signing with anyone.

What a TikTok LIVE agency actually is

TikTok organises its live creators through a programme called the Creator Network. Agencies are the companies recognised inside that programme. They are not third-party middlemen who inserted themselves: they are the structure the platform designed.

  • TikTok provides the platform, the rules and the money.
  • The agency provides access, judgement and support.
  • You provide the hours. Nobody substitutes that.

The agency does not pay you. If someone tells you they will transfer your earnings to you, you are looking at a problem, not an opportunity.

The real requirements

  1. Be 18 or older. TikTok's requirement for live monetisation, verified with ID.
  2. A phone with a decent camera and stable connection. Professional gear is not needed. A stream that drops every ten minutes is, because it retains nobody and the algorithm punishes it.
  3. Consistent availability. This is the real filter. Three fixed days a week beats seven irregular ones, because your audience learns when to find you.
  4. No active strikes. If you are coming off a restriction, say so up front. It is usually fixable, but it has to be known.

What is not required: a follower minimum, prior experience, professional equipment, or money. None of it.

The process, step by step

1. Application

A short form or a WhatsApp message. Name, country, handle, availability. If the form asks for bank details at this stage, close it and leave.

2. Review and conversation

A manager looks at your account and messages you. That conversation should exist to understand you, not to sell to you. An honest agency will tell you if your availability does not fit their targets instead of signing you anyway.

3. Official onboarding

Your profile is linked to the network inside your TikTok dashboard. You accept it from your own account. Nobody needs your password for this.

4. Training

Setup, formats, timing and — the part nobody values until they need it — the content rules that can cost you your account.

Two to five business days in total at an agency that functions.

The three questions that filter everything

QuestionCorrect answerRed flag
Where is your office?A verifiable physical addressEvasion, or "we are fully digital" and nothing more
Does my money pass through you?Never. You withdraw from your own dashboard"We transfer your earnings every two weeks"
What does joining cost?Nothing, under any headingAny "activation" or "verification" payment

If a single one of the three fails, stop. There are no nuances here: they are three objective, verifiable facts, and no legitimate agency fails any of them.

The most common scams

  • The activation fee. A payment to "activate your official account". No such thing exists. TikTok does not charge to join a network.
  • The agency that pays you. They convince you they receive the diamonds and forward your share. It works for two months. The third month they are gone.
  • The password request. "To configure your account." That is account theft with a friendlier name.
  • Guaranteed income. Nobody can guarantee it, because nobody controls the conversion table or your audience.

What happens after you join

The first month is adjustment: testing times, seeing when your audience arrives, finding your format. First earnings usually appear early but small. Becoming a meaningful income source takes months, not weeks, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.

What you should notice from month one is support: someone reviewing your numbers with you and telling you what to change. If nobody has messaged you after four weeks, that agency only wanted you on a list.

Frequently asked questions

How many followers do you need to join a TikTok LIVE agency?

Serious agencies do not set a minimum. TikTok requires you to be 18 or older to monetise live, but imposes no follower count to belong to a network. If an agency rejects you for having few followers, what it is really telling you is that it does not want to train anybody.

How long does the whole process take?

Two to five business days at an agency that works: profile review, a conversation, and onboarding. If you have been waiting three weeks for a reply, that agency is already showing you what its support will look like later.

What documents do I need?

None to apply. For official onboarding the platform will ask for ID to verify you are of age. That step happens between you and TikTok, not the agency.

Can I join if I am already with another agency?

Yes, once your current commitment ends. The switch happens in your own creator dashboard and you keep your account and followers. Ask about timing before starting anything.

Can they ask for my account password?

Never. No legitimate agency needs your password for anything. If they ask, it is not an agency: it is an attempt to steal your account.
